Yoga is a practice that every person can receive positive benefits from.
Now so more than ever, our bodies, minds, and souls are craving time to arrive, breathe, let go, and be present. Yoga is a great opportunity to gift yourself this experience and is the reason why we have created a kindness sanctuary at The Connected Center to offer just that.
When it comes to finding the right yoga studio for you, it is important to be conscious of the characteristics it possesses.
- The Community
One way to truly tap into your own self-compassion is to be part of an accepting community that encourages connection. When looking for a yoga studio, make sure that it is a space where you feel accepted and embraced. It should be a community that is non-judgmental and welcomes you at every step of your own journey.
- The Environment
Details matter, especially in a yoga studio. We’ve designed our Wholehearted Yoga studio to have a homely environment and one that you can be guided by breath and movement. When you are deciding on a yoga studio, we encourage you to first do an intro offer to ensure you can really connect in the space while on the mat.
- The Teaching Style
Every yoga teacher has their own unique style. Not only is it important to connect with the environment you are practicing in, but equally with the yoga teacher who is guiding you during the class. No matter what type of teaching style a yoga teacher may have, they should be able to adapt their class to guide and encourage you to connect with yourself.
- The Class Schedule
Every yogi has a different routine. You should look for a yoga studio that offers classes that complement your own daily schedule. There are also studios that offer online yoga courses to ensure that you can join in from home and connect with yourself no matter what your day is like. The online yoga courses have a collection of hundreds of practices that are led by certified yoga teachers for you to choose from!
You will know that you have found the right yoga studio when you feel yourself connect with the community, the environment, the teachers, and the class schedule. And, of course, have found a place where you can also truly connect with yourself.
