Araluen Clarke Self Compassion Coach
If you want others to be happy
If you want to be happy
I have a question for you.
How kind are you?
More specifically how kind are you towards yourself?
I don’t mean do you treat yourself when you “deserve” it, but actually on a moment to moment basis.
How do you talk to yourself when you mess up?
Don’t achieve enough in a day?
Snap at a loved one?
Eat a chocolate bar?
Are you able to forgive yourself?
Treat yourself with kindness and respect?
Or do you criticise yourself?
Put yourself down and reprimand yourself?
What if you could nurture yourself with self-compassion through hard times?
Welcome to the Compassion Project.
What if you could nurture yourself through these hard times, recognise that we are beautifully flawed as humans that we are not alone in our suffering, finding room for our pain and soothing ourselves in the moments that pain appears.
This is the development of self-compassion. Read more about What is Self Compassion and the 3 aspects of Self-Compassion

About Araluen and the Connected Center
Araluen helped me navigate through many things.
Learning how to be kind to and have compassion for myself has been so important.
She provided gentle guidance in my personal discovery and re-definition. She customized her approach to what was most suitable for me. I felt a connection that I have not previously found with other Counselors. She has also helped me establish a good framework for positive changes and personal development in the future.
Thanks so much, Araluen.
It feels great to know how far I have come.
A lot has happened in my life in the last year, some things I am still adjusting to.
I am in a much happier place now.
